Welcome to HB Legacy Lights! We are a family that enjoys the holiday season. Our family’s holiday lighting tradition started with my dad and my grandfather in the 1980s. Every year, my dad helped my grandfather put up their lights. Using simple C9 incandescnet light strands, my dad’s house and his neighbors began what would become a holiday tradition. The street began with just a few houses putting up holiday lights, and it only took a couple of years for ALL of the houses on the street to participate. Holiday lights became something that the entire street looked forward to.
Fast forward to 2020, the Covid year, everyone was in lock down. Our family explored a new Christmas light idea. Inspired by a house in our neighborhood, we decided to build a holiday light show that each family member could contribute to. We felt our light show would be a Covid safe way to get people out of their houses and give them something to do during the holiday season.
The show consists of three parts: picking the song line up, computer sequencing, and the building of the props. My sister was responsible for developing the logo. I’m responsible for the web page development and maintenance. My mom sequences the songs, and my dad builds the props. We all help with song selection, and, of course, we all push the pixels!!
